Short answer

How much does it cost to employ someone in Vietnam?

Employing a Vietnamese employee costs the gross salary plus about 23.5% in employer contributions: 17.5% social insurance, 3% health insurance, 1% unemployment insurance and a 2% trade-union fee, with social and health insurance charged on salary up to ₫50,600,000 a month. On ₫30,000,000 gross, the employer pays ₫7,050,000 in contributions, for ₫37,050,000 a month. Through an EOR you add the service fee: Nhân Kiệt charges US$99–199 per employee a month plus VAT, against US$599 or more at several international platforms. The employee’s own 10.5% insurance and income tax come out of their salary.
