Short answer
How do you choose an EOR provider in Vietnam?
Choose an EOR provider in Vietnam by checking who actually employs your staff and on what legal basis, not by comparing dashboards. A reliable provider names the Vietnamese employing company in writing, gives its business registration and licence numbers, explains whether each role is employed through labour sub-leasing or direct employment, and can show the monthly insurance and quarterly tax filings for your employees. It itemises salary and statutory contributions separately from its service fee, writes intellectual-property assignment into both contracts, and sets out what happens on exit. Many global platforms do not employ in Vietnam themselves and pass your staff to a local partner, which adds a company between you and the employer that you have no contract with.
Seven questions
Seven questions to ask any EOR in Vietnam.
- Which company is the legal employer? Ask for its name, business registration number and address.
- Which legal route applies to each role? Labour sub-leasing or direct employment — and the licence number for sub-leasing.
- Is the employer the provider itself, or a partner? A partner model means your employees' records sit with a company you have no contract with.
- Are contracts bilingual? Your employee signs in Vietnamese; you need to read the same terms in English.
- What is in the fee, and what passes through at cost? Salary and statutory contributions should be itemised separately from the service fee.
- How is intellectual property assigned to you? The labour contract and the service agreement must both carry it.
- What happens on exit or if you switch providers? Notice, final pay, insurance closure and data return should be written into the agreement.
Red flags
Warning signs in a proposal.
- A single “all-in” monthly price with no split between salary, contributions and fee.
- No named employing company, or a name that differs from the company you sign with.
- A claim to hold an “EOR licence”, which does not exist in Vietnam.
- Advice to keep people on contractor agreements while you direct their work.
- No answer on where employee data is stored or how it is returned.

Our answers
How Nhân Kiệt answers the seven questions.
The employing company is Công ty TNHH Cung Ứng Nhân Lực Nhân Kiệt, business registration 0308022768, labour leasing licence 029/LĐTBXH-GP, employing people in Vietnam since 2009 from eight offices. No partner sits between us and your employees. Contracts are bilingual, Vietnamese and English. Salary and contributions pass through at cost and our fee — US$99–199 per employee a month, plus VAT on the fee — is its own line. IP assignment is in both contracts, and exit and switching terms are in the service agreement.
Questions
Choosing an EOR in Vietnam: frequently asked questions
What should I ask an EOR provider in Vietnam?
Who the legal employer is, which legal route applies to each role, whether a partner is involved, what the fee includes, how IP is assigned and what happens on exit.
How do I check that an EOR provider is real?
Look up the employing company's business registration number on the National Business Registration Portal and ask for the labour leasing licence number if roles are sub-leased.
Is a local EOR better than a global platform?
For a team in Vietnam, a local EOR gives you direct contact with the employer and usually a lower fee. For teams in many countries, a global platform offers one contract for all of them.
How much should an EOR cost in Vietnam?
Published fees range from about US$199 to US$699 per employee a month. Nhân Kiệt charges US$99–199 per employee a month, plus VAT on the fee.
