Short answer

Where in Vietnam can you hire?

You can hire anywhere in Vietnam through an employer of record. Most foreign companies hire in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, the two largest talent markets, followed by Da Nang for technology and services and the industrial parks of Dong Nai and the former Binh Duong area for manufacturing, with Hai Phong for northern industry and logistics. The location matters for one legal reason: the regional minimum wage, which runs from ₫5,310,000 a month in Region I — the urban areas of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City — down to ₫3,700,000 in Region IV, and is set by where the employer operates. Nhân Kiệt has eight offices across these areas, so paperwork, onboarding and support are handled locally rather than from abroad.

Minimum wage

How location sets the minimum wage.

The regional minimum wage depends on where the employer operates, not where the employee lives. Region I (₫5,310,000) covers the urban areas of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; Region II (₫4,730,000) covers central Da Nang and the outer areas of the largest cities; Regions III (₫4,140,000) and IV (₫3,700,000) cover provincial towns and rural areas. Office and specialist salaries sit far above these floors, so the region matters mainly for entry-level and production roles. Remote employees can work from anywhere in Vietnam; the contract states the workplace.
